Commander Ally Reporting For Duty

Its the time of year that most every activity is coming to a close, and most of the time it's a little bit of a relief when we have the recitals or final game or last test, and we can breathe a little sigh of relief that we made it through another season. The fact that AWANA is ending makes me a little sad though. I mean, yeah, the kids drive us nuts every single week, and most weeks I'm not convinced anyone heard the lesson or remember anything at the end of the night, but I'm going to miss those crazies.

Plans have begun already for the fall, so I guess the summer will probably fly by as it always does, and then all of the sudden we will be prepping for a new year. It's been exciting to watch Derek allow his creativity loose more than normal, though. He has a rare gift of being creative and a "dreamer" while also being enough of a realist to know what will and will not work.
